Baravelli’s chocolate just makes you smile. Always. This is something way out of the ordinary and is arguably some the most delicious chocolate that you’ll find anywhere and certainly in North Wales.
Lovingly hand made and crafted by Emma Baravelli at the home of Baravelli’s in Conwy, the Baravelli brand has won over 40 prestigious food awards with the most recent being 5 Academy of Chocolate awards in the 2018 judging.
Emma comes from a fashion and design background and her husband and business partner Mark Baravelli brings an engineering and business background to the company. Together they have created #BaravelliMagic at their shop which is nestled in the castle walls in Conwy.
And this is not your average chocolate shop. Emma’s design background is evident from first glance at the window where you’ll find amazing chocolate sculptures and centrepieces on display. Walk in and you’ll discover a magical chocolate land filled with chocolate bars, filled chocolates, Chocstix and so much more. Discuss process and ingredients with Mark and you’ll soon discover why the pair have won such critical acclaim.
Baravelli’s were Wales first ‘Bean to Bar’ chocolate producers and still remain one of only a handful in the UK. Sourcing the best cocoa beans, importing them and turning the raw ingredient into their chocolate speaks volumes about their passion for chocolate and for their business.
And they are also passionate about North Wales and in taking our region and it’s vibrant food and drink community out to the world. Being part of The Movable Feast means that they are able to showcase their chocolate and North Wales, for them it’s a winning combination.
Our producer focus this week is on Pizza and more importantly Amore Pizza. Established in 2011 by Wendy Rowland, Wendy is more than enthusiastic about all things pizza and very keen to use the fabulous local ingredients found in North Wales.
Having worked in the food and drink industry for a number of years, Wendy is keen on promoting great food and passionate about the pizza she produces. Using only the highest quality ingredients, the traditional stone-baked pizza is delicious and features some of our favourite flavours including a traditional Neopolitan. Her years of pizza experience can be tasted at several of The Movable Feast events this summer.
Throughout her career Wendy has been lucky enough to meet with some amazing celebrity chefs including Simon Rimmer and her love of great food and ingredients can be seen in every pizza that she produces.
Wendy and her mobile pizza van are also available for weddings, parties and corporate events and the smell of freshly baking pizza is guaranteed to make you and your guests hungry. Food trucks are an increasingly popular way to feed guests at events and a number of our Movable Feast producers have food and drink trucks that you’ll see in and around North Wales.
Amore Pizza have some great reviews from very satisfied clients, check out their Facebook Review page. Delicious, fantastic, value for money are just some of the things that people are saying – all tribute to Wendy’s hard work and dedication to her pizza craft.
The ethos of The Movable Feast is to bring together local suppliers and businesses to showcase the very best of the vibrant North Wales food and drink community.
